Sagar pohat bahubalane, naav tayasi milo na milo re,

Swayech jo tejonidhi tarani, tad gruhi deep jalo na jalo re.

Olakh Patali Jyas Swatahachi, Dev Tayas Milo Na Milo Re

    Wonderful!

    There’s no need of a boat to one who swims the oceans- strong and fearless
    There’s no need of a vesper lamp to one who is a Light unto Himself
    There’s no need of (bookish) knowledge to one who ever performs Actions without desire for reward,
    There’s no need of God for the one who has Realized One’s Self

    a crude translation..
    by the way, who is this Kavi Bobade? Any other information?

      Kavi Bobade is probably from the 16th or 17th century from Maharashtra, India. I don’t really know more about him! Enlighten me if you do 🙂
