… search Google for the name of an object? For instance, while on a nature trail you see a bird that you cannot recognize. What do you search for in order to identify the bird? Beats me.

Marissa Mayer, VP at Google wrote this entry about the future of search on the official Google blog. In it, she paints a scenario where people would use search ubiquitously. One of the questions she puts forth as an example is:

“What kind of bird is that flying over there?

Ans: A turkey vulture
Search: [turkey vulture flying] on Google image search”

But back the truck up a minute. If you don’t know what bird it is, how the heck did you figure out that you had to type “Turkey Vulture flying” into Google search?!

Interesting article nonetheless and with the Google satellite being launched into outer space, it is only a matter of time before the world is genuinely mobile and connected and search-enabled. Muhahahahahahaha.
